Aqua America, Inc. [BRYN MAWR, Pa.] (NYSE: WTR) announced it has hired Whitney S. Kellett as its new chief information officer. Kellett spent the last four years as vice president of information technology at Atlas Energy Group, LLC.
Kemper Corporation [CHICAGO] announced that Charles T. Brooks joined the company as Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer. Brooks previously served as the Global Operations Officer for ACE Group in Philadelphia. Prior to that role he led Member and Plan Sponsor Services for Aetna. In his earlier leadership roles he was Senior Vice President of Operations and Chief Information Officer for Travelers Personal Insurance, Partner at Accenture and Captain in the United States Army.
AvidXchange [CHARLOTTE, NC] announced that Paul Cavnaugh has joined the company as Chief Information Officer. Prior to joining Avidxchange, Paul served in various leadership positions including Global Chief Information Officer at Billabong, Senior Vice President at Velocity Solutions, and Senior Vice President at TITAN GS.
WellCare Health Plans, Inc. [TAMPA, Fla.] (NYSE: WCG) announced it has appointed Darren Ghanayem as senior vice president, chief information officer (CIO). Prior to joining WellCare, Ghanayem spent more than 15 years with Anthem, formerly WellPoint, Inc. Most recently, he served as vice president of business transformation.
United Community Financial Corp. [YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio] (NASDAQ: UCFC) holding company of The Home Savings and Loan Company announced the hiring of Douglas Young as Senior Vice President, Chief Information Officer. Doug has had extensive experience at several super regional banks such as Key Bank, National City Bank (kna PNC) and most recently as Executive Director, Global Technology Infrastructure for JPMorgan Chase.
Stream [DALLAS] announced Kelly Habbas as the company’s new Chief Information Officer. Habbas has over 20 years of leadership experience working within the NYISO, NEPOOL, Canadian and Texas energy markets. Habbas has worked in various leadership positions in large and well-established companies in the energy industry.
Bitium [SANTA MONICA, Calif.] announced the addition of Yvonne Wassenaar, Chief Information Officer at New Relic, to its board of directors. Prior to joining New Relic, Yvonne served as the Vice President to the Office of the CXO at VMware. Yvonne serves on the board of The Athena Alliance as well as the board of trustees for Harvey Mudd College.
FICO [SAN JOSE, Calif.] (NYSE: FICO) announced the appointment of Claus Moldt as chief information officer (CIO). Prior to joining FICO, Moldt was CEO of mPath. Before that he was the global CIO and senior vice president of service delivery at Salesforce. He previously held leadership positions at eBay, Oracle and Loudcloud.
Centene Corporation [ST. LOUIS] (NYSE: CNC) announced the appointment of Mark Brooks to Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer. Most recently, he was Chief Information Officer for Health Net, the publicly traded managed care organization that became a wholly-owned subsidiary of Centene on March 24. He held several roles during his tenure for the California-based organization including Chief Technology Officer and Vice President of Applications Development.
Simpler Trading [AUSTIN, Texas] hired Justin Morris as Chief Technology Officer / Chief Information Officer. Previously, Morris was with The Martin Agency. Before this, Morris was the CTO/Director of Ecommerce at TDBBS, Inc.
Newtek Business Services Corp. [NEW YORK] (NASDAQ: NEWT) announced that it has acquired the talent of Nilesh Joshi as Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer. Mr. Joshi led the new product launches and strategic initiatives for Cigna Healthcare’s Group and Voluntary benefits segment. Prior to Cigna Healthcare, he established the IT Program Management Office (IT PMO) at Republic Services. He also spent several years at Wells Fargo where, as an IT Manager.
