Electronics For Imaging, Inc. [FREMONT, Calif.] (NASDAQ: EFII) hired Jill Norris as its new chief information officer (CIO). Norris most recently served as vice president of global IT services for semiconductor company Globalfoundries. Prior to that, Norris held engineering IT positions for Motorola and held CIO, Chief Service Officer and India expat positions for mobile start-up Good Technology. She also previously worked for Sprint as vice president of IT service delivery.
Unum Group [CHATTANOOGA, Tenn.] (NYSE: UNM) announced that Puneet Bhasin, formerly executive vice president of corporate operations for Waste Management, Inc., has been appointed chief information and digital officer. Bhasin spent more than 8 years with Waste Management, most recently as executive vice president of Corporate Operations and president of the company’s Recycling division. He joined Waste Management in 2009 as senior vice president and chief information officer. Previously he was senior vice president and CIO of Monster Worldwide, senior vice president of E-Commerce for Putnam Investments, and vice president and CIO for Ryder TRS.
Liberty Mutual Insurance [BOSTON] appointed Shelia Anderson to the newly created role of Corporate Functions Chief Information Officer. Anderson has held senior level technology roles with several Fortune 500 global technology organizations, including HP and Electronic Data Systems. She most recently served as vice president and CIO for Property and Casualty Insurance at USAA.
Huntington Hospital [PASADENA, Calif.] announced that Scott Groom joined as senior vice president, chief information officer. Groom joins Huntington Hospital from New York-based, Bassett. Prior to Bassett, Groom served as corporate vice president and chief information officer for Marshall University Health System-based Cabell Hospital in Huntington, WV, and Baptist Health System of MS. His previous experience also includes leadership in Fortune 500 software, services and management consulting.
