Conagra Brands, Inc. [CHICAGO] (NYSE: CAG) announced Mindy Simon, vice president of global business services (GBS), has been promoted to chief information officer. Simon will succeed Gerrit Schutte, who announced his plans to retire from the company.
BJ’s Wholesale Club [WESTBOROUGH, Mass] announced Scott Kessler has been named executive vice president, Chief Information Officer (CIO). Most recently, Kessler was executive vice president, CIO, at Belk. Prior to that, Kessler was senior vice president, products technology, at GSI Commerce. He also held a leadership position at Accenture.
BNY Mellon [NEW YORK] has appointed Bridget E. Engle as Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer. Engle has previously had positions at AT&T, Lehman Brothers, Barclays Capital, DTCC and Bank of America.
CSS Industries, Inc. [PLYMOUTH MEETING, Pa.] (NYSE: CSS) announced that Jeffrey DeSandre has joined the organization as its new Vice President and Chief Information Officer. DeSandre has twenty years of experience in the information technology (IT) field, including his most recent experience as Chief Information Officer of First Quality Enterprises. Prior to First Quality Enterprises, DeSandre served for four years as CSS’ Information Technology Director.
TESSCO Technologies [HUNT VALLEY, Md.] (NASDAQ: TESS) has announced the hiring of Joe Cawley as Vice President/CIO. Prior to joining TESSCO, Cawley was most recently Vice President/CIO of IT for Colonial Williamsburg Foundation in Virginia. Previosuly, he spent 20 years at IBM rising to Director of Worldwide Support.
iQor [ST. PETERSBURG, Fla.] announced that it has named Deepak Batheja as its Chief Digital Officer and Group CIO. Batheja joins iQor from Interactions, where, as EVP, Technology and CIO. Prior to that, he served as CTO at Sutherland Global Services. Batheja has also held senior posts at Deloitte, Unisys, and SunGard, among others.
LPL Financial LLC [CHARLOTTE, N.C.] announced Scott Seese will join LPL as managing director and chief information officer (CIO). Seese was previously CIO of American Express’s global consumer business unit. Prior to that, he was CIO and vice president, information technology, at eBay, Inc. Prior to joining eBay, he served in a variety of senior technology roles at Bank of America and, before that, spent the first 12 years of his career at GE.
Investors Bank [SHORT HILLS, N.J.] (NASDAQ: ISBC) has appointed Michael Fegan as its Chief Information and Operations Officer. Prior to joining Investors Bank, Fegan was Chief Operations and Technology Officer and Executive Vice President at Bank Leumi. Previously, he served as Chief Information Officer for Suffolk County National Bank.
Dollar General Corporation [GOODLETTSVILLE, Tenn.] (NYSE: DG) announced that Carman Wenkoff will join the Company as executive vice president and chief information officer (CIO). Wenkoff replaces current CIO Ryan Boone, who recently announced his retirement. Wenkoff most recently served as chief information officer and chief digital officer for Subway restaurants. Prior to his role at Subway, Wenkoff was part of the IT and management team at Subway restaurant’s franchisee-owned Independent Purchasing Cooperative and served as Chairman of the Retail Gift Card Association. Wenkoff began his career in law and served as general counsel for Pivotal Corporation. He also served as vice president, operations/finance and general counsel for Ontain Corporation.
Live! Casino & Hotel [HANOVER, Md.] announced that Beth Perlman has joined the team in the key leadership position of Chief Information Officer (CIO). With more than 20 years of IT and management experience, Perlman has worked as a CIO and held senior-level positions at the Maryland State Department of Education, Constellation Energy, Enron and Lehman Brothers among others. Prior to Live! Casino & Hotel, she was the Managing Director of Utility Integration Solutions.
Zerto [BOSTON and HERZYLIA, Israel] announced the appointment of Avi Raichel as Chief Information Officer (CIO). Raichel spent the last 17 years at Amdocs where he rose from MIS Team Leader to Vice President of information systems.
EBMS [BILLINGS, MONT.] announced the addition of James Vertino as Chief Information Officer to serve in the role. Vertino spent the last six years as CIO of HealthPlan Services. His previous experience includes serving as CIO at CareSource Management Group, Vice President of Technology for MetLife, and Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer of Equity Technologies at Lehman Brothers.
Woodcraft Supply, LLC. [PARKERSBURG, W. VA.] has announced the promotion of Ryan Knost to the position of chief information officer. Knost joined Woodcraft’s Internet Marketing Team as web programmer in 2011. In 2013, Knost was promoted to director of business applications and technology.
BioIQ [ATLANTA] announced that Madhu Kota has been named chief information officer and senior vice president of technology development. He served most recently at Fiserv. Kota has also held senior leadership positions at Pegasystems, CompuCredit, Indus International and BroadVision.
Sabre Corp. [SOUTHLAKE, Texas] (NASDAQ: SABR) announced that it has named Joe DiFonzo as Chief Information Officer (CIO). DiFonzo brings to Sabre a nearly 30-year career in technology leadership, including most recently, eight years at Syniverse. He previously spent 20 years at Convergys/Cincinnati Bell Information Systems.
Southwest Airlines Co. [DALLAS] (NYSE: LUV) announced Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer Randy Sloan is leaving the Company. Kathleen Wayton, who is currently the airline’s Vice President of Corporate Delivery—Operations & Reservations, has been promoted to Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer upon Sloan’s departure.
