Seattle Children [SEATTLE] has appointed Zafar Chaudry as senior vice president and chief information officer. Chaudry previously served as CIO at Cambridge University Hospitals. Prior to Cambridge University Hospitals, Chaudry served as global research director at Gartner; CIO at the Liverpool Women’s and Alder Hey Children’s Hospitals; consulting editor for Hospital Information Technology Europe Magazine; information technology strategist for the Vision4Children Pediatric Charity; and teaching faculty at the City Colleges of Chicago.
Diplomat Pharmacy, Inc. [FLINT, Mich.] (NYSE: DPLO) has acquired 8th Day Software and Consulting, LLC, and named its founder Dave Loschinskey as Diplomat’s chief information officer. He served as CEO of 8th Day since it launched in 2013. Before founding 8th Day, Loschinskey spent nearly a decade with Accredo, first as vice president of software development, then as chief information officer, and finally as vice president of business innovation. Previously, he served five years as senior director for Oracle Corporation.
Norfolk Southern Corporation [NORFOLK, Va.] (NYSE: NSC) announced that it has appointed Fredric M. Ehlers as chief information officer. Ehlers joined Norfolk Southern in 1985 as a management trainee. He served in many transportation positions before being named assistant vice president in the executive office of the chairman in 2004. Since then, Ehlers has served as vice president customer service and vice president network and service management before being named vice president information technology.
Culbert Healthcare Solutions [BOSTON] announced the appointment of James Murray as the company’s Chief Information Officer. Before joining Culbert, Murray most recently served as Vice President of Information Technology for CVS/MinuteClinic at CVS Health. Prior to this, Jim held positions with Partners Healthcare Corporate Information Systems as a Technology Architect and as the Corporate Manager of Support and Technology Innovation at Massachusetts General Hospital/Massachusetts General Physicians Organization. He is on the faculty at Harvard School of Public Health for Executive and Continuing Professional Education.
Paycom Software, Inc. [OKLAHOMA CITY] (NYSE: PAYC) announced the departure of William X. Kerber III, Paycom’s Chief Information Officer. Brad Smith and Shane Hadlock, will work together to assume Kerber’s responsibilities in the interim. Smith, Paycom’s Director of Software Development, has over 12 years of service with the company, while Hadlock, Paycom’s Director of Information Technology, has served in his capacity for the last five years.
FirstClose [AUSTIN, Texas] announced the promotion of Chuck Bloodgood from senior vice president of technology to chief information officer. He has served at FirstClose for 4 years. Chuck began his career at IBM, rising to senior consultant. He subsequently served as vice president of technology for an industrial startup equipment supplier.
Movement Mortgage [FORT MILL, S.C.] has hired former IBM and Accenture executive Henry Santos as its new chief information officer. Most recently, Santos led IBM’s Global Mortgage Business Services unit. Previously, he was a partner at The Capital Markets Company and a managing director at Accenture Credit Services.
Veritex Holdings, Inc. [DALLAS] (NASDAQ: VBTX) announced the appointment of Michael Bryan as Chief Information Officer. Prior to joining the Company, Bryan served as Executive Vice President, Chief Information Officer at BNC Bank from May 2010 to June 2017, Bank Technology/Operations Practice Principal at DD&F Consulting Group from November 2007 to April 2010, Global Account Manager at Fujitsu from January 2004 to January 2006, Principal Consultant at Hewlett Packard Enterprise from January 2001 to January 2004 and CEO/Owner of BancPro Systems, Inc. from January 1980 to December 2003.
First Financial Bankshares, Inc. [ABILENE, Texas] (NASDAQ: FFIN) has elected J. Michael Wilson to the position of Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer. He was also elected Chairman, President and CEO of First Technology Services, Inc. Wilson has served as Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer of Community Bank in New York for the past 15 years. Prior to that, he was Vice President and Director of Technology Services at Unizan Bank. He serves on the mid-tier technology steering committee of Jack Henry & Associates.
